Demolition and construction in downtown Chicago can be a challenge, but GeoSonics/Vibra-Tech have the expertise to keep your project on track.
Vibration monitoring was required during the demolition and construction of the new Wilson Transfer Station in Chicago, Illinois. Prior to demolition, GeoSonics/Vibra-Tech was retained to conduct pre-construction inspections of nearby buildings including several historic structures. Re:mote vibration monitoring units were installed at nearby structures. During the demolition and construction, vibration monitoring data was collected and stored on a customized client website. If vibration levels were near or exceeded the predetermined limits, key personnel were automatically notified by email and/or text so the construction could stop and the issue could be addressed.
