In order to construct the Brooklyn Arena, GeoSonics/Vibra-Tech was retained to provide vibration and displacement monitoring within New York City, Mass Transit Authority (MTA) subway tunnels along Atlantic and Flatbush Avenues in Brooklyn. A total of 64 velocity transducers and vertical tilt meters measured vibration and movement of the IRT, BMT and LIRR subway tunnel walls during ongoing construction of the Brooklyn Arena and Atlantic Avenue Railroad yard relocation.
