GeoSonics/Vibra-Tech is excited to announce that Neal Lee, Senior Technical Manager, Nelson Brothers DBU will be a speaker at Re:Con 2025.

Mr. Lee will be presenting, “Varying Scaled Depth of Burial Depending on the Amount of Horizontal Relief Available to Each Hole When Fired” during Re:Con 2025. His presentation will discuss Horizontal Relief Planes and how important they are in designing blast plans. His presentation will outline the calculations and considerations that go into designing a blast with this method and discuss resources for the blaster to use in the field to adjust stemming heights on a hole-by-hole basis utilizing this knowledge.
Mr. Lee is the Senior Technical Manager for the Distributor Business Group of Nelson Brothers. His 39 years of experience in the drilling and blasting industry includes surface coal, quarrying, heavy road construction, and demolition. He is currently licensed to blast in Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee and Alabama, and holds a Federal Blaster’s license. His credentials also include an Ohio Surface Mine Foreman certificate, KY Miner’s card, and is qualified as an MSHA Part. 46 and 48 Trainer, as well as being an NRA Firearms Instructor.
